An old Classic Holden may look tatty and tired, yet merely adoption of Performance Tire could indeed enhance the whole picture.
Though admittedly on a closer inspection the tatty looking station wagon has had received minimal TLC if close to none at all. Rust everywhere next to body filler layer as thick as the stainless steel bumper of the era.
It is different story inside as it has adopted four on the floor shifter with matching split seats from apparently later model. Quite a lot of work needed to transform into this beaut Aussie beast......
Best known as, as I recalled two doors Holden Monaro GTS with a rather dulled pin stripping, but originality is the name of the game here. Next to it is the later compact Holden Torana, imported here featuring powerful but standard 2,850 cc 6 inline.
My nostalgic memory goes back to its heyday when I lost the race on a 2,600 cc Toyota Crown, the deficiency was apparent .....but it was too late.
Back to the present day I couldn't help thinking of driving yet another Holden equipped with supercharger instead..... What economic downturn recession, fuel crisis, high crude oil price, none of it get in the way but heavy traffic jams everywhere....
Midnight street race here come the Classic Holden!
