Driving Light Applications

We all know that the underlying driving light's benefits are numerous. For obvious reason "better visibility" during the worst weather condition such as heavy torrential rain, thick foggy or just safe night driving. The main task of driving light is to illuminate shorter distance which the main beam does not cover. Blank spot or blank area that is immediately ahead and around side corners. It is this area that we need to see as the car's main heading direction.

Next task would be to alleviate limited visibility on those bad weather. During heavy rain and foggy condition your main beam would not be able to function properly as it was designed to be. In this case both conditions would simply block the way. Say in a layman language all of its molecular parts would directly reflect the beam's ray back to us instead of ahead. Degrading visibility to merely a few meters away. We all have been in such situation! This is where your safety greatly depended on the low beam, unless you have the stronger driving lights installed instead.

This hazardous driving condition happen mostly on the hilly twisty road in those high altitude, though we might get similar encounters on the highway. Hence city traffic in that matter city or town car does not in great need of driving light application.

While it is true that a small city car might not need such application. Yet if it has one there, it is a good opportunity for the oncoming traffic to realize your presence. Whatever type of car you are driving stronger illumination ahead of you might reduce the tendency of any head on collision. I think we now know of many possible advantageous implications, good lighting improves your safety drive.

For those older classic cars that already suffer degrading lighting system due to wear out and current deficiency, a set of driving light is more desperately needed. Your OEM bulb has limited life expectancy, if I am not mistaken it is less than 4,000 hours of life time. It might be less than half, furthermore it draws more current to get it to functions. Worst, the required current is not able to be supplied through its worn out grounding and wiring harness.

In fact the cheapest solution rather than replacing all those ancillaries (including new replacement of expensive headlight assembly) would be to install additional driving lights, better yet while you are at it make an upgrade to HID lighting system.HID driving light It requires less current power supply and it does not produce blinding glare to the oncoming cars. The beauty of additional driving light is that when it comes to sell the car you could easily dismantle it and re-install to the newer car. Incidentally have you ever notice that most premium new car is factory installed with set of driving light?
